About the Venue

We’re a 100% fully independent music venue; operating on a charitable, not-for-profit basis, promoting a great live music programme all year round, set within our beautifully restored building – dating back to 1766.

We offer a great place to experience live music in one of the most intimate venues in the UK – we’ve hosted some great musicians here including Arctic Monkeys, The Cribs, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Wonder Stuff and many, many more…

Our roots are in locally produced music – and we’ve showcased some of our area’s finest artists including Cattle & Cane, Benefits,  Eve Conway, Jodie Nicholson and Komparrisson.

We are an award-winning accessible venue - holding a 'Bronze' from Attitude is Everything - as part of their Charter of Best Practice and we have been named as one of Motability's 10 most accessible music venues in the UK.

We positively encourage younger audience members anyone aged 16+ can attend our events (except those marked 18+) - and anyone under 16 can attend when accompanied by an 18+.

Please choose the links at the bottom of the page to view our Admissions, Access, Refunds and Performing policies.

Tickets for our events are available online through our live events page - we recommend purchasing online as it's the most secure way of getting your tickets.  It also guarantees entry.

Our bar opens at around 60 to 30 minutes before advertised door times on days when we have live music programmed - see live events for details - with food available.

We also run our 'micro-venue', The Green Room - next door at Green Dragon Studios - where you can find a range of intimate gigs being promoted.  Listings for The Green Room appear on this site under 'Live Events'.

Like The Georgian Theatre, The Green Room is also available for hire to stage gigs or host parties / events.  Please get in touch for more information.
