The fourth installment of our annual winter show A Dark, Dark Christmas comes to you once more from the amazing Georgian Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees on Saturday 22nd December.
As usual, you can expect live music from some of the areas must see bands, and as a bonus, we'll be providing some live music in the bar area this year for those of you who want something a bit more relaxed.
So, the line up for the main room;
Celing Demons - https://www.facebook.com/CeilingDemons/
Ceiling Demons are an alternative hip hop group from Richmond, North Yorkshire, born out of bereavement and taking influence from acts like The Streets, Tricky and Serengeti. They’ve supported Young Fathers, Sleaford Mods and Busdriver among other favourites too. Seeking to capture the rawness of the human emotion in their music & words, they are headed up by twin brothers, Psy Ceiling & Dan Demon. Having garnered support from the likes of Tom Robinson and Rianne Thompson on national stations like BBC Radio 6 Music and Amazing Radio as well as from a variety of regional presenters from the local BBC Introducing programmes, The Demons are strong advocates of addressing mental health issues in their art and have worked extensively with the suicide prevention charity CALM, to raise awareness and funds for a cause close to their hearts. Championed by Louder Than War & NARC. Magazine for their passionate live performances, they released their latest album Nil towards the back of 2017 via Win Big Records. As the Nil fire continues to burn, 2018 sees the release of the record on a limited run of vinyl courtesy of Darlington-based label, Butterfly Effect and in support of the Teesside based charity Men Tell Health.
The Broken Broadcast - https://www.facebook.com/TheBrokenBroadcast/
The Broken Broadcast bring a slice of West Coast Americana and Indie to the landscapes and wildnerness they were thrust upon to earn an existence. Join them in their ever evolving, ever morphing attempt to escape.
