After a breakthrough 2019 that saw her perform live at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Hardwick Live, Stockton Calling, Twisterella and Tramlines, as well as opening for Cattle & Cane, Martha Hill and Dan Owen, Eve Conway heads to The Georgian Theatre to celebrate the release of her brand new single Crucified By Hurricanes.

Eve combines the songcraft of a country star, writing relatable folk ditties that talk of love, loss and the everyday grind, with the stagecraft of a contemporary urban popstar, featuring looping vocals and a street swagger that hypnotises as well as energises crowds.

Complete with a big voice, a big personality and a big mane of red hair, Eve is an emerging artist whose gritty brand of pop music is delivered with spine-tingling effect. Armed with her acoustic guitar and vocal pedal, she can fill any space with beautiful and inspiring sounds.

As well as performing live on the BBC Introducing stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Eve received further BBC Introducing support  with a Maida Vale Session and a live set at the BBC Music Introducing Live event at London’s Tobacco Dock - not to mention featuring on BBC Sounds Hot List Mix and picking up airplay from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1 and Tom Robinson on his ‘Celebration of the North-East’ show on BBC Radio 6 Music.

The first in a series of new releases produced by Paddy Jordan (Cattle & Cane, Young Rebel Set etc), Crucified By Hurricanes kickstarts a new era for Eve and signals a dark and brooding statement of intent.

“The voice of a Titan” – Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music)
“Her feisty pop sounds are filled with a quirky charm” – NARC. Magazine
“The remarkable tone of voice is incredible and eminently listenable” – NE Volume
“A unique, fresh sound” – Huw Stephens
