Shoe Cake Comedy Feat. The Discount Comedy Checkout & Other Acts

Price
£4
On Thursday May 23rd you can see four fantastic up and coming comedians and a headline set from resident improvisational comedy group 'The Discount Comedy Checkout' for just £4 advance tickets.

Hosted by top circuit MC Chris Lumb (as seen on Russell Howard's Good News) - the first part of the show is brimming with some fantastic up and coming stand up talent.
This month gracing the stage is:

Jack Johnson.
A regular at The Stand Comedy club in Newcastle, Geordie Giant Jack Johnson will have you laughing away with his stories about his love life and career as a musician.
Jack is a Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year semi-finalist and definitely one to watch out for.

Matty Oxley.
Matty is fairly new to comedy but gigging frequently in the north east. Local to Middlesbrough, Matty has a lovely stage presence along with some killer jokes about his own disability.

Chris Jones
Manchester based Chris Jones has been performing stand-up all over the UK, US and Canada since 2016. He was a finalist in the Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year 2018 and have just completed his first run at the Edinburgh Fringe last year.

Chris Copestake
Chris is doing regular spots for Manford's Comedy Club, Ten Feet Tall, Funhouse Comedy, Hot Water, XS Malarkey and Hilarity Bites.
He was also selected for 'Circuit Breakers 2019' at Leicester Comedy Festival which is a testimony to his talent .

The second section of the night is a 100% raw and unscripted improv show from our headline act The Discount Comedy Checkout.

If you've never seen improvised comedy before, you are in for a right treat. All the games, scenarios, and situations are formed from the audience suggestions. A bit like cult 90s TV show  'Who's Line is it Anyway' but with a modern spin gleaming with popular culture references galore. The main group members are all experienced stand up comedians, but improvised comedy can often be overlooked on the comedy circuit. These guys are extremely quick, witty, and without doubt talented.

"5 STARS! The comedy is creative and crude, quick and quirky, the performers commit completely to the games and create funny and fantastic characters at a moment's notice." - Remotegoat

"There's a wonderful slapstick nature to it all but they are all impressively literate in film culture and genres too, creating brilliant, quick draw pastiches of popular cinema that will have you in stitches." - Manchester's Finest

"Total fun and instantly engaging." - WHODARESGRINS.COM

Tickets are £4 ADV and £7 OTD
