Benjamin Amos is a songwriter originally from Northern Ireland, now living in Durham. This February sees the  release of Maelstrom, the first single from his debut album Letters.

Ben previously fronted bands that found success in Northern Ireland. His Sullivan & Gold album - For Foes was  nominated for the Northern Irish Music Prize and he has supported artists such as Lisa Hannigan, Two Door  Cinema Club and Ghostpoet.

Moving to the North-East he found a musical home at The Westgarth Social Club in Middlesbrough, amongst  the Spooker Rekkids rabble, before finding success as co-writer and producer for Teesside favourites Nel Unlit,  whose debut album received airplay and praise from the likes of BBC Radio 6's Tom Robinson.

Praise for Sullivan and Gold and Nel Unlit:

'If sumptuous and carefully crafted songs are your thing, For Foes will make for a pleasing listen... including  soaring falsettos and lovely lyricism. - The Sunday Times

'Princes of sparklefolk, Sullivan & Gold have made a wonderfully thoughtful album that belongs inside a  decent set of headphones.' - The Daily Mirror

'Wow! Like swimming in chocolate. Music like you haven’t heard in the last 60 years. Just blooming  wonderful.' - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6

Dressed Like Wolves are Rick Dobbing and his Spooker Recs pals making honest, frantic and heartfelt music about all the things and people that surround them (mostly coca cola the sea and social clubs.)

Dressed Like Wolves have been making music in attics and small bed rooms since 2009 playing shows in barbers shops, vintage shops, laundrettes, tea rooms, replica ships and even some regular venues too. They've played with bands such as Wolf Alice, Trust Fund, J.P Cooper, Jeffrey Lewis, Sam Fender, The Burning Hell, Darren Hayman and Withered Hand.

The band have performed on Balcony TV and had their song 'Death Of Girls' used on radio advertisements for BBC Radio 4. As well as having songs played on Amazing Radio, BBC 6 Music and Radio 1.

‘In the great tradition of great British eccentrics’ – Tom Robinson. BBC Radio 6 Music ‘Bright Eyes with Balls.’ – Wolf Alice.

‘Dobbing’s part-whispered delivery always feels like he’s holding back on spilling a terrible secret, sick of carrying the burden. It’s this presence that adds so much weight to his usually folky, emotive songs about the stresses of human relationships.’ – GoldFlakePaint

‘Some pretty cute indie rock.’ - Anthony Fantano (The Needle Drop)
