Deep Six Blues have taken inspiration from their home on the ‘Humber Delta’, and a passion for artists like Son House, BB King and Peter Green, to create a unique alt bluesy sound. They released their first EP Big River in spring 2023 and are currently working on their next release.
Opening for Deep Six Blues will be Lee Maddison who in 2017 provided the soundtrack for the BBC documentary 'Life of a Mountain: Blencathra'. Airplay on BBC 6 music followed and in the same year, Maddison's provocative dig at the music business 'Charlatans and Blaggers' was given the track of the week slot on BBC Tees.
'Lee Maddison's bluesy acoustic guitar, and his hushed growl of a voice, both occasionally recall early John Martyn'. - folking.com
