Creative Writing Session with Fran Harvey
Is your New Year's resolution to start writing , or start writing more? Embrace the traditional January spirit with this creative writing workshop focussed on new beginnings and fresh ideas. Writer and poet Francoise Harvey will lead you through a series of writing exercises specially created to get your ideas bubbling and your words onto the page. Suitable for writers of all levels of experience, whether you're looking for renewed enthusiasm for writing, a supportive way to start a new story or poem, or want to refresh a stalled writing project.
Francoise Harvey has had short stories published in Best British Short Stories 2017 (Salt, ed. Nicholas Royle), The Lonely Crowd, Litro, TSS (theshortstory.co.uk), Confingo, Black Static and Interzone, as well as by Nightjar Press. She has had poetry published in Envoi, The Interpreter's House, Furies (For Book's Sake), and Agenda, She was shortlisted for the 2016 Bristol Prize and 2016 Bridport Prize, won a 2017 Northern Writers' Award (children's fiction and YA), and was awarded a DYCP grant from Arts Council England in 2021.
