Rock Against Racism

We live in strange times and several local music activists have expressed a wish to show solidarity for the many diverse communities that make up the 21st Century UK. With the blessing of original founder member Roger Huddle, we’re uniting once again under the classic Rock Against Racism Banner to present an eclectic evening of music from some of the north’s finest musicians with a passion for the cause.

Presented in association with The Battle of Stockton Campaign.

Benefits

Benefits are a band from the North East of England who are attempting to write songs about the state of the United Kingdom today: to react to current urgencies and to document them in an ambitious and painfully noisy way.

Patrick Jordan

Alt-country/blues artist from the UK. After carving out a successful career as a producer for artists all over the UK , including Cattle & Cane and Young Rebel Set, Patrick Jordan forged a solo career as an artist with some fantastic highlights so far, including Spotify editorial playlists, BBC introducing support and critical praise from various blogs and review sites.

Reardon Love

Born in the autumn of 2018, Reardon Love took centre stage with one sole aim, to champion the underdog, hail the outsider and liberate the falsely accused.

Armed with a message so staunch you are at one with their distain for prejudice. These social justice warriors are already informing those that want to hear…….and those that don’t.

Whatever the destination, be it global domination or social suicide it promises to be one hell of a journey.

Frazer Lambert

Alt/indie-folk artist from Stockton on Tees, Frazer crafted his song writing skills in the cafes of Amsterdam in the late ‘90’s before taking his music around the world and back home again. Frazer’s songs are varied but many reflect industrial life on Teesside as well as his travels and have been played on BBC radio. Expect original songs sung with passion and honesty.

Lost State of Dan

Lost State of Dan is a soulful, eighties inspired balladeer. Big vocals, tender melodies and thought-provoking lyrics all delivered with a cheeky chappy smile.

Thought Trumpet

After some success with singles ‘Here Comes the Smoke’ and ‘Ugly’ in 2019. Thought Trumpet strikes back into 2021 much bigger and fuller, both audibly and visually.

With the same heartfelt lyrical style, this solo act has taken away the restrictions put in place from being “The loudest acoustic act in Teesside” (Paddy, Goosed Records) to create something new, something bigger.

For fans of Frank Carter and Billy Bragg.

DJ Diz

Gary ‘Diz’ Walters is a Music Promoter for Into Tomorrow and a DJ on Radio Stockton. He has previously DJ’d in London including the famous 100 Club and has opened for Martha Reeves and the Vandellas amongst others. He was also involved in the original Rock Against racism in the late ‘70’s.
