FAQs - The Georgian Theatre

There's is very little you need to know about what we do, that isn't already on our website. Please take some time to look around.

Here are some of the regular queries we get.

Box Office

Like a lot of small sized music venues nowadays, we don't have a traditional walk in box office.

All of our tickets are sold online - it's cheaper, more secure and we can contact you if an event ever needs re-arranging.

We can't sell you a ticket if you call in or ring us up unfortunately.

Some of our customers have asked friends or relatives to buy tickets on their behalf - that's fine, and a very sensible solution.  Just remember to put the tickets in the name of the person attending - it'll save any confusion if we have to find you on arrival.

Booking Fees

Unfortunately, there's no getting round these.  Most online booking services charge fees - that's how they cover their costs.

The cheapest way to see a gig is buying in advance - on the door prices are always more expensive.

Information / questions about gigs

Once you've got your tickets, we're happy to answer any practical queries about time of arrival, show times etc. (and see below).

If you email us, you'll get an automated reply which will direct you to this page to answer your queries.

If your enquiry isn't covered here, we'll try to reply ASAP.

If you contact us on the day of the gig though, we may not be able to respond - that's because we're busy preparing for the show and we'll probably be away from our desks.

Stage Times

Stage times are different for each show.  We recommend getting down as early as possible to guarantee seeing the whole gig.  Live music usually starts around 30 minutes after doors open - and usually ends between 11pm and midnight - but bear in mind, gigs don't tend to work on exact timings.

Doors Open times are on our website within the event description for each gig.

If you email or message us asking about stage times, it's unlikely we'll be able to reply.

Age Restrictions

We encourage younger music fans - anyone 16+ can enter our events freely - unless stated 18+ only.

Under 16's need an accompanying adult who themselves must be over 25.

Tickets

We can assist with most queries for tickets that we sell though our website.

If you've bought a ticket from us directly - you can show it on your phone or other device - you don't need to print it.

If you purchase direct from the artist or event promoter using their own box office, we don't have access to those records.  Please contact whoever sold you your ticket.

We always recommend buying tickets from our website when available - that lets us answer queries much more easily if something goes wrong.

Before contacting us about missing online tickets, please check two things;

1) Have they gone into your spam folder?

2) Did the online transaction complete - has the money come out of your account?

If you lose internet connection or have another technical glitch during purchase, the money may show as leaving your account - but that's usually your bank getting ready to pay.  If the transaction doesn't complete and you don't get your tickets, your money will usually be released by your bank, back into your account.

Try not to leave ticket queries too late.  If you wait until the day of the event - usually on a weekend - we may not see your message.

If you ring or email us on the evening of a gig, we stand almost no chance of seeing your enquiry as we'll be setting up for the event.

Hiring Our Venues

Our venues - The Georgian Theatre and The Green Room are both available to hire for private parties of celebrations - full details HERE

Telephones

Like a lot of organisations following the pandemic, we operate our office differently now.  We don't have anyone answering our phones - but you can leave us a message. We'll respond as soon as we can, but messages left on a weekend may not be answered until the office reopens the following week.

This page is being added to - please come back soon... and please keep checking our social media for up to date event information.
