Chris McGlade has been a comedian for 30+ years and played many different venues in every possible situation you could think of.

Working all over the world ... from the unforgiving working men’s clubs of the North of England, all the way to the glitz and glamour of the Hollywood Comedy Store on the Rock Comedy show with American comedy superstar Dane Cook and the prestigious LA Improv Comedy Club!

Successfully performing at the Edinburgh and Glasgow Comedy festivals with two critically acclaimed shows, Chris has gigged alongside Frank Carson at the Sunderland Empire Theatre and also played the prestigious Leicester Square Theatre with his own Comedy Renegades show.

In 2017 Chris finished runner up in the Leicester Square ‘Old Comedian of the Year’ competition.

Chris McGlade is not only an excellent, well crafted comedian, his acting isn’t bad either recently starring as 'Pete' in Ken Loaches hit film ‘I Daniel Blake’ and also a year long run as the role of Boxing Coach George in Billy Elliot the musical in London's West End back in 2010/2011. Trust me when i say, this show is not to be missed!

A man who is passionate with political views and beliefs, Chris started a political campaign in his home town of Redcar back in 2004 against the local authority and the countries biggest house builder, Persimmon Homes. He beat them in 2010 in the House of Lords and single handily influenced the change in English law regarding open spaces … uncovering council corruption in the process.
Chris also stood as an independent candidate for Redcar in the 2005 general election and came fourth with 2379 votes - the seventh highest fourth place in the country during that particular general election .... Chris also streaked on Middlesbrough's cup final day at Wembley but we will let him explain about that one.

Both of Chris’ critically acclaimed show’s ’Infant Hercules’ and ‘Northern Monkey’, have allowed Chris to express and share his passionate beliefs …. in particular his views on freedom of speech, and the middle/working class divide.
